Necessary at all for me are extended shifts and overcrowding, also powerful is the organ trasplants. A good tech that i recently discovered is the second level overdrive (overdrive couplings maybe? I don't remember), very useful when you are at -70 degrees and only have basic heaters researched. Overall, i quickly tech up scouts and try to find at least 50-60 survivors before the second storm, while rushing wall drill and even hothouses (to save manpower). Beware that i play with the "disasters" on and if you focus entirely on steam cores you'll get a hard time if steam cores seizing happens after the first one. I recently tried at least five times an extreme endless run without child labour and often i couldn't made it through the second storm without having too many hungry and Ill people. Laws is child labour, emergency shift to get research 24 hours, extended shift, and then into overcrowding with radical treatment

My current research strategy involves doing faster gathering (I am considering abandoning this one)>beacon>hunter gear>drafting>wall drill>coal thumpers>steam hubs>whatever needs to be done firstīuilding is usually 1 workshop right away, 2 medical posts in the evening, cookhouse next morning, and usually the beacon + scouts in the morning of day 2, followed by tents + hunter huts So I am wondering what would be the overall strategy for endless, before and after the first storm? Strategy in research, laws, builds and strategy in priorities? I have watched multiple videos but the people playing somehow still have better time than me despite using the similar strategies. If I do survive the first storm the cold comes and kicks my ass. I have tried multiple strategies but I feel like I am always short on everything despite trying to be prepared. So after finishing some story missions on normal I decided that endless extreme is the best way to go (foolish I know but I think its how the game is meant to be), however the mode is basically kicking my ass on two maps (Crags and Canyon).
